Näyttelijä Pierce Brosnan ja uudet seikkailut
Pierce Brendan Brosnan on yhdysvaltalais-irlantilainen näyttelijä ja elokuvatuottaja. Brosnan tunnetaan parhaiten roolistaan James Bondina, jota hän esitti neljässä Bond-elokuvassa vuosina 1995–2002. Näyttelijä on ollut aktiivinen vuosikymmeniä ja hänellä on ollut merkittäviä rooleja elokuvissa kuten November Man, Mamma Mia!, Mrs. Doubtfire ja viimeisimpänä elokuvassa The King’s Daughter.
Brosnan oli mukana siis neljässä Bond-elokuvassa, mutta Kuolema saa odottaa – silloin 49-vuotias Brosnan otti James Bondin roolin vastaan alun perin lähinnä rahapulassa, mutta ei ole katunut. Hän tunnustaa rahan tuoneen elämään vapauden tehdä sitä, mitä itse haluaa.
68-vuotiaan näyttelijän elämä on ollut täynnä vauhtia ja jännitystä, mutta yksityiselämässään hän on kohdannut useita vastoinkäymisiä. Hän menetti muun muassa ensimmäisen vaimonsa Cassandra Harrisin munasarjasyövälle vuonna 1991. Onneksi mies löysi rakkauden uudelleen Keely Shaye Smithin kanssa, ja pari avioitui vuonna 2001.
Brosnanilla on yhteensä viisi lasta. Hänellä oli yksi lapsi Harrisin kanssa, poika Sean (s. 1983).
Myöhemmin hän adoptoi Harrisin kaksi muuta lasta, Charlotten (s. 1971) ja Chrisin (s. 1972), heidän biologisen isänsä kuoltua vuonna 1986.
Smithin kanssa hänellä on kaksi poikaa, Dylan (s. 1997) ja Paris (s. 2001).
